The Rope for Buck Scholarship is a one-time $1,000 scholarship to be used to further your education. There will be one scholarship given to a female and male member of MSLBRA. These scholarships are lovingly given by the family of Buck Carter.

Buck went to Heaven on June 6, 2021 at the age of 15 after suffering injuries in an automobile accident. To know him was to love him, he never met a stranger and would do anything he could to help someone. He followed in his sister’s footsteps in MSLBRA when he was 6 and continued until the weekend before his accident. Buck won many awards in Flags, Team Roping and Breakaway Roping but the awards didn’t define him as a person, his love for family, friends and Rodeo is who our Cowboy is. We look forward to receiving your application and thank you to everyone who chooses to participate.
