Standings

Minimum qualifications for MSLBRA awards: 

  • Application must be completed and e-signed. Points are not earned until the application is completed.

  • Membership fees are $55 per contestant up to $105 per family and must be paid before competing in the rodeo in order to receive points for that rodeo.

  • Every contestant is responsible for obtaining a minimum $100 sponsorship. Families with more than two contestants are responsible for a minimum of $200 in sponsorships. Sponsorships are due 11/6/26. 

  • Every contestant is responsible for selling $100 in raffle tickets. Families with more than two contestants are responsible for a minimum of $200 in raffle tickets. Raffle tickets are due 12/5/26. 

  • Each contestant must enter a minimum of fifteen (15) MSLBRA rodeos per event to qualify for year-end awards in that event. The NLBRA point system will be used for association points.

  • Every family membership is required to work a minimum number of rodeos to be determined when all memberships are accounted for. Work schedule requirements for the 2026-2027 season is 20 events per family membership. If member fails to work assigned event posted, the member will pay a $100 fine, they will not earn their state points for that rodeo, and they cannot enter another MSLBRA rodeo until fine is paid. If member does not work ALL required work events, member will be fined $1,000 and will not qualify for year-end awards until fine is paid. If you are working inside the arena, you MUST be in western attire.

  • Each contestant must be a current NLBRA member in good standing.

  • Stalls and RV reservations must be paid in good standings. If you reserve it, you pay for it.

The NLBRA points system is used for the associations points.

MSLBRA rodeo results are submitted and uploaded to the NLBRA website once the secretary has completed the rodeo.

2026-2027 Year-End Awards Tie-Breaker Rule:

All-Around Tie Breaker Rule is stated in the NLBRA Rule Book. In the event of a tie for awards in all other events, the following tie-breaking rule will be followed:

1. The contestant with the most 1st place placings in the event will receive the higher place;

2. If a tie still exists after rule #1, the contestant who has competed in the most rodeos for the current season will receive the higher place;

3. If a tie still exists after rules #1 and #2, the contestant who had the highest number of points coming in to the last rodeo will receive the higher place.
